Hi I'm Amanda

I am wife to David and mommy to Joey and Lizzie. I am a Mormon.

About Me

David and I were married in April of 2011, in the Bountiful Utah Temple. Since that time we have: graduated with Bachelor's Degrees from Brigham Young University-Idaho, lived in three states, and had two beautiful children. I am currently a stay-at-home mom. Our son is three years old and our daughter is one year old. Being able to raise these two children in the gospel of Jesus Christ brings us so much happiness. I love my little family more than words could ever express. Some of my favorite things include: chocolate, exercising, baking, listening to the kids play and laugh together, and chocolate. Oh, wait...

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ brings me happiness and peace.

How I live my faith

One way I live my faith is by creating a gospel-centered home. I love reading my children scripture stories and singing primary songs with them. We hang photos of Jesus, the temple, and our family around our house. We strive to read the scriptures and pray together daily. We set aside time for a weekly family devotional. We call this time Family Home Evening, and we listen to a gospel message, sing hymns, play games/toys and eat yummy treats. Having the gospel in our lives brings harmony to our marriage and our family.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Amanda
The scriptures say that "all things denote there is a God". I can feel God's love and presence when I look at the stars with my husband, when I gaze into my little ones eyes, or when I smell a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Everything around me reminds me of a Father in Heaven who loves me, who knows me, and who cares more deeply about me than I could ever comprehend. Show more Show less

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Amanda
Yes! Our families can be together forever through the sacred sealing ordinance performed in temples. Death is not the end of life or of our family relationships. I love my husband and my children. I am so grateful to have the knowledge that we will be together forever. Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

Amanda
The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ; it is a second witness of the divinity of his life and ministry. It is a companion to the Bible in that it adds to and expounds upon the truths found within the Old and New Testaments. Reading the Book of Mormon brings peace to my soul. Show more Show less
