Hi I'm Betsy

I love to learn. I like to be active-running, soccer, something to do to workout. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I played classical guitar for a few years, now more only as I find time. I'm playing rec soccer this year to keep in shape and to be active. I'll be a junior in high school and I'm excited to be taking AP classes. I also love art. This year I get to experiment further with 3-D and painting.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the strength and comfort that I receive by living the commandments. Though I grew up in the church, that does not mean that I am not a convert. I have been working on improving my testimony as the years go by. The last year in particular has been a struggle for me, and after some major doubts concerning the church and many trials, my testimony actually began to grow. I began to understand why our Heavenly Father sent us here. I learned that He loves me, and loves all of His children. Looking back on my experience, although it wasn't an enjoyable time, it was a good experience that allowed me to grow closer to my Father in Heaven. Now, I know with certainty that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I testify that Christ's atonement was for us, and that it was an act of pure love and grace. Without Christ, we would have no hope. Before coming to Earth, we had faith that Christ would be our Savior. What faith we all must have had! Why not trust our past selves and continue with faith in this life? Even if it is small, having a hope is faith. Pray, and that will show your faith.

How I live my faith

There are not a large number of members in my area, so most of how I live my faith is by example to those around me. I share my values with others and I keep to the standards I have chosen to live. Sometimes this means that I am driven to explain why I follow such standards. I do my best to take care of those around me while still taking care of myself. The girls at church and my team at school are very important to me, and I do my best to share the light of Christ with them.
