Hi I'm Rebecca

I'm a missionary, I'm a nurse, I'm a friend, daughter and sibling, but most importantly I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a country girl! I grew up raising sheep, cows and chickens. I spent my summers working in our yard and irrigating our fields. I have always loved to be with people and have always liked to do anything involving people. I love music and play the piano, violin and guitar. I also enjoy sports and being outdoors. For the past two years I have been attending college to become a nurse. I love being in the classroom environment and expanding my understanding. I also loved being able to meet people from all over the world and learning their stories. I loved my time as a student. I just recently graduated and passed my licensing exam. I am currently serving as a missionary in the Texas Lubbock mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. I know that God loves us.I know that through following the example of Jesus Christ I can live with God again. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's church restored onto this earth. I am so grateful and happy to be apart of something so incredible!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the example of Jesus Christ. I study the scriptures in order to understand how to best accomplish this. As I read the scriptures I try to keep my mind open in order to understand what it is that the writer was trying to teach, and also to understand what it is that our Heavenly Father would have me learn. One of the greatest lessons that I have learned is that Christ was self-less. I have learned that as I serve others, I am happier because I know I am acting as the Christ would. As a student I was an active participant in my church. I attended regularly and accepted invitations to serve others in my congregation. I also look for opportunities to help those around me, especially my family and friends. Recently I have decided to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In so doing I am a representative of Christ. I will spend 18 months helping others see the joy and peace that comes from understanding that our Heavenly Father's loves us. I will help people understand that it is through the atonement of Jesus Christ that we are able to change and become more than we have been. I know that with out his sacrifice none of us could reach our full potential and live with our Heavenly Father again.
