Hi I'm Lisa

I am a wife, mother and grandparent. I am a Morman.

About Me

I am a retired show horse trainer. I now have a full time retail job and I am a full time grandparent. I love to read, garden and enjoy my family and friends. My favorite day of the week is Sunday.

Why I am a Mormon

I am in my fifties, and have searched all my life for that perfect church. I have lived all over the country and tried every church imaginable. One day two nice young missionaries came to the door (not the first), and they told me about Joseph Smith and his search for the right church. I found that I could really relate to the questions that Joseph had for Heavenly Father. This peaked my interest and I read the Book of Mormon. I prayed to the Lord and asked if the words in that book were true, and if Joseph Smith was truly a prophet. The answer came and I was happy beyond imagination. I was soon baptized and can truly say that I have never been happier in my entire life. It took me long enough to find the True Church of Jesus Christ, and I am so glad I finely did! The joy that studying scripture can bring makes me wish I had found the Church long ago. The Church gives you an instant sense of belonging. You have a family there at church, and they can be counted on, just as Heavenly Father can be counted on.

How I live my faith

I teach an adult class on Sundays where I lead discussions about the Gospel Principles of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am also active in our church women's group which is called The Relief Society. It is the oldest women's organization in the United States.A finer group of women can not be found. Our Church has a program called "visiting teaching". Every women in the church has a pair of women that check on her every month and chat, help out or teach a lesson. In turn each woman is a visiting teacher. This program has proven so rewarding for me.

In whom should we have faith?

Lisa
We should have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, The Only Begotten. Through him you will become closer to Heavenly Father, in whom we should all have deep faith. Show more Show less
