Hi I'm Josh

I love bow ties. I'm a computer Geek. I AM A MORMON!! =D

About Me

If it has to do with computers, food, or Saturday morning cartoons I pretty much love it! I'll be starting college in the fall. I'm hoping to come out with a degree in Computer Science. I'm definitely nervous about going back to school!! o_O I come from a big family of 7 kids (4 girls, 3 boys). I'm kid # 6. Thankfully I never got picked on too much by my older brothers and sisters. My family members are my best friends.

Why I am a Mormon

Mormonism isn't just a religion; its a lifestyle. My beliefs, religion, and lifestyle have protected me from a lot of headaches and heartaches. I'm proud to belong to an organization that encourages people to live wholesome lives. Jesus Christ is the central focus of everything that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints teaches. Everything that I believe, hope for, and have become is because of Jesus Christ. I know that the teachings of Christ are present in this church. It is those teachings that made me decide to become, and remain, a part of His church.

How I live my faith

I'm currently serving a full-time volunteer mission in Kentucky. I have the opportunity weekly to help out at a local Food Pantry. Being able to 'feed the hungry and clothe the naked' really makes me think about the service that the Savior provided for each one of us. I often get to visit with people in their homes. There are so many people who just need someone to talk to. In everything I do I try to imagine how Christ would go about it. As I listen to the people I visit I can start to see them in the same light that God must view them. I live my faith by learning to love and serve others.

Are Mormons Christians?

Josh
The "Mormon" religion is really called the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. While some of the doctrines we teach differ from those taught by other Christian churches we do recognize Christ as our savior. He died for the sins of the world, was buried, and rose again on the third day! He is the Savior and Reedemer of the world and through him we are saved. Our belief in Christ is the center of our religion and our lives. We are, in fact, Christians. Show more Show less
