Hi I'm Andrew

I'm an escapee from a small town called Thatcher, AZ. I'm currently a missionary in Detroit, I love computers, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 19-year-old who's in love with computers. They are truly my passion. I'm currently going to a local community college for a information systems degree, and I hope to be able to transform that into a 4-year degree at a large university. I love the fantasy and science-fiction worlds and am currently trying to write a book. Finding me online playing video games is a large possibility too; that will be my dream job: to turn my computer degree into a job of building and playing video games. I have 3 other siblings: 1 older, 2 younger, all guys. My parents had a blast trying to keep us restrained. They are my best of friends. We may not always get along, but you can often find us on the same team online, trying our best not to get mad at the other for messing up. And of course, Soccer. We all love the sport and I had the awesome chance to play on our local high school's team with both my older brother, and one of my younger brothers.

Why I am a Mormon

I know for myself the truthfulness of this gospel. It didn't come all at once. I was blessed to be a part of a strong family who taught me from my youth the points of this gospel. That doesn't mean that I didn't have to find out for myself if it was true or not: there were times I questioned my parents. (what teenager hasn't?). But after a serious contemplation on my own part and a deep desire to know for myself, I have prayed and I can say with all the seriousness of my heart, that I know this Church and It's teachings to be true. Not just good for me true, but eternally significant true. I know that Jesus Christ is my Lord and personal Savior. He has died for me and I am so grateful for that. My family means so much to me, and the opportunity I have to be together with them for all eternity is such a wonderful blessing.

How I live my faith

I'm currently a missionary, trying to share what has made a huge impact in my life. That is how I find true joy in my life: trying to live and fully accept Jesus Christ into my life. I try my hardest to live this gospel as best I can, even though I know that I will make mistakes along the way.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

I find that the whole of the earth points to the existence of God. My personal interests come by way of computers, so I love relating things back to them. To me, how in the world does a computer work? I need to know! So my best way to look at it is logically. I love the way that all the parts come together perfectly and the computer just miraculously works. How could we forget what a miracle it is that we have all this technology here today. It just blows my mind to see the amazing things our computers can do today! How could we not see the many miracles that a computer preforms every time it boots up. To me, God has granted us these wonderful innovations, and has blessed me with a sound mind with which to understand them. Computers to me say: "God is mindful of our needs and the progress we can make in helping the world connect and grow together. Show more Show less
