Hi I'm Lars Anderson

I'm a father of 3. I'm a landscape architect. I love to crossfit and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Washington State and moved to Utah to attend BYU. I served a mission for the LDS Church in Veracruz, Mexico. When I returned to BYU I met my beautiful wife, got married and studied horticulture. I then graduated from Utah State in Landscape Architecture and have been living in Utah ever since. I am a father of 3 awesome kids and now we enjoy crossfit together, camping, fishing, and hiking.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in an LDS family, however I had to reach my own conclusions as to the truthfulness of the Gospel. When I served a mission in Mexico is when I felt the strongest desire to share the Gospel with others. I had many experiences prior to my mission where I felt the Church was true, but it was during my missionary service that I felt the burning desire for others to know what I knew. I care deeply about the Gospel because of the light and happiness it brings to my life. I know that it depends on how I live my life everyday that determines how close I feel to the Spirit. It is the small choices in life that have led me to make good decisions. Not to say that I haven't made mistakes, but by comparison I have been fortunate to follow the teachings of the Gospel and my life has been blessed because of it. I know that anyone can feel the same happiness we have in our family by turning to God. The Book of Mormon contains scripture that teaches of God and by reading it you will feel the same love and goodness I have felt. It is an amazing thing.

How I live my faith

We live in a fantastic neighborhood where many of us enjoy similar hobbies and interests. I teach many of the fathers in the neighborhood at church and we work together to become better fathers and husbands. My focus in the church involves mostly service for others. We help families move into or out of the neighborhood, we sometimes do yard work for others when they are sick, or sometimes we just visit with them and see how they are doing. As a family we love our neighbors and feel they love us too by the way they care.
