Hi I'm Eddie Gonzalez

I was born in Bogota, Colombia, grew up in California, went to college in Hawaii, live in Arizona and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an elementary art teacher and love what I do. I love to skateboard and occasionally get to go surfing from time to time. I mostly love spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because as a boy of nine, Mormon missionaries taught my family and I felt strongly that God was with them. My parents joined as did I and my brother. My parents quit going after a few years, but I have continued to be an active member because I believe it is the true church of God and the restored church of Jesus Christ in these modern times.

How I live my faith

I have worked quite a bit with the Boy Scouts and the young men at church. I joined the church when I was a boy and had the chance to grow up with scouting so it means a lot to me.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Eddie Gonzalez
I think prayer has been the biggest thing that has helped me to know God as my Father in Heaven. Somehow, almost instinctively, when things go bad, or I have problems, I speak to God by talking to him and letting him know my needs and thoughts. Over the course of my life I have had many prayers answered, and seen miracles take place that I know were in answer to my prayers. I have also felt him give me strength, wisdom and comfort. For all this I am deeply grateful and firm in my resolve to live a life that would please him. Show more Show less
