Hi I'm Marcus Jensen

I am from Tooele, Utah. I am a devoted runner, backpacker, gun enthusiast and am currently serving a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from the West Desert in Utah but I basically spent all my time in the mountains of Northern and Central Utah doing anything and everything there is to do. Being in the mountains is where I like to be and where I believe I found who I am. I grew up hunting and fishing as well as backpacking and I am always trying to find a new trail to go on. I am a triathlete and love to participate in endurance sports (I will be an Ironman). I go to school at Southern Utah University but am currently serving a two year mission in Texas!

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that the happiness I have in my life is from the knowledge of the Restored Gospel. Like everyone else, I had to know for myself if what I had grown up hearing was true or not. I took the promise of one of the Prophets in the Book of Mormon and applied it in my life. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and when I apply the teachings that it and the Bible both contain, I can find a sense of happiness that worldly possessions can't give me.

How I live my faith

I helped with the scouts in my ward when I came home from school since my dad was a scout leader. I enjoyed working with the youth in my ward and helping them learn and grow. I am currently serving in the Texas Fort Worth Mission and am speaking Spanish. I really love sharing the Gospel in the Spanish community. I try to be a living example of the teachings of Christ and am always smiling. There is never no reason not to smile. I believe the best way to help others is to listen. More often than not, people just need someone to talk too. I like being that person that people know that they can come and just talk too.
