Hi I'm Simeon

I'm currently serving my mission for the Church in the Philippines.

About Me

I have attended a year of college and will be majoring in electrical engineering. I like sci-fi books and movies. I program computers at times for fun but mostly play video games in my spare time. I have currently put my home and college life at hold and gone to the Philippines to serve the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church and have been raised in learning the principles of it. However, I am not simply following my parents' hands blindly (they can attest to that surely). I consider myself a very logical person and actually tend to be a skeptic. While some expect these qualities to lead me to distrust religion in general, it has done the opposite. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only completely true church on the Earth today and I know this to be true. The doctrine makes sense! The people actually follow this doctrine, and everything works out just like it should.

How I live my faith

In my congregation I teach the young children's class (ages 8-11). I also help take the sacrament (the bread and water) to those who where not able to make it to Church. I am also a "home teacher," one that goes with another member to visit families in the Church each month to make sure everyone is doing okay and to assist as needed. All these callings are service. We all called to serve our fellow man. Doing so helps me to grow to love others and appreciate the service that they render. I am also currently serving my mission. This is a two year time span where I have dedicated my life to complete service to the Lord through service to the people of the Philippines, the area I have been called to.
