Hi I'm Camee

I attend BYUI and I love the gospel! I love adventures and trying new things and I love my family more than anything in the world.

About Me

I am a freshman in college attending Brigham Young University-Idaho and I absolutely love it here. I love life. I am not the type of person to sit around and do nothing. I love to do just about anything. I love laughing and having fun. I love hiking, camping, and swimming, and along with that, the ocean. There is no place I love being more than the beach. I have a passion for learning new things and experimenting with activities. My family is the most important thing to me. My family grew when I spent my last two years of highschool living in Utah with my cousin. She and my other cousins and aunts and uncles showed me what it is like to accept anyone as family and treat them with love and drop anything for them. I also got to be on the school's performing ballroom team and develop a love of dancing. "If I could say what I meant, there would be no reason to dance" Being a part of that team taught me innumerable lessons about teamwork, perseverance, trust and above all, fake it till you make it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I need the guidance of the Lord and his gospel in my life everyday. There is a song that we sing entitled "I'll go where you want me to go" and it is one of my favorites. One of the main truths in our gospel is that the Lord has a plan. One for everyone, called the plan of happiness, outlining our fall to mortality, the sacrifice of the savior and our ultimate happy ending in heaven. And one for each and every person individually. He has led me cross country and back again, through schools and relationships and now I prepare to follow wherever he sends me on a mission. And each time I trust in him I not only have the opportunity to serve others but I have irreplaceable experiences and am put in the paths of people who help me and teach me and love me. He has a plan like that for EVERY PERSON!! And it is absolutely amazing how mush he can do with your life when you hand it over to him. He knows how to make you happy. He loves you. He is always there for you. And that is why I am a mormon- because being a mormon means knowing one of the greatest secrets of this life: that you are a child of a Heavenly Father who loves you.

How I live my faith

I work diligently on living the commandments and the standards of the Church. I may not be perfect, but I try my best every day by reading the scripures, praying and choosing the right. I love sharing the gospel with my friends, even though sometimes it's difficult and takes a lot of courage

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

We believe that God loves us all equally, so why would He let some of us have the chance to be baptized, and not others? It wouldn't make sense. So He made it possible for us to perform proxy baptisms to help those of His children who were not able to hear the gospel and be babtized in this life. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Absolutely. We love Him and strive to be like Him. We take upon us His name when we are babtized, promising to reach out to others, to live the gospel, and to be like him. Show more Show less
