Hi I'm Alex

I grew up in a moderate sized town called Cedar City, Utah. Now, I'm studying Chemical Engineering. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up working on my grandfather's farm and also the retail store that he created and built. I'm the first of six children, with three brothers and two sisters spread over 13 years. In high school my passions were farming, football, throwing events in track and field, and academics. Science and math are my fortes with a major emphasis in Chemistry. Currently, I'm enrolled as a student at the University of Utah. I hope to graduate from there with a major in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Nuclear Engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the way the Gospel of Jesus Christ makes me feel and the answers it provides. There is nothing else in this world that can bring such a sense of peace and love as the Spirit of God. Also, there isn't any other religion or theology that provides such a complete and loving take on our spiritual journey through this life. For these main two reasons and a host of others, I'm proud to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm in transition from my home ward to a singles ward up at school, so I don't really have any ways I'm involved yet. But back home, I was in leadership positions for kids my age. I helped lots of boys in my ward, including my little brother, with their eagle projects. Service projects were plentiful and I tried to make it to the many food drives, yard clean ups, church building clean ups, and clothing drives that my ward did. Also, I did hometeaching quite regulary with my dad as my companion.
