Hi I'm Dan Peterson

born and raised in Arizona, i'm an addicted mountain biker, and i am a mormon

About Me

Almost every day i try and go mountain biking or hiking at south mountain, a state park near my house. I am addicted to almost anything outdoors, camping, hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, scuba diving, and i just cannot get enough of it. I just recently graduated high school, and waiting to leave on my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but i never did truly convert to the gospel of Jesus Christ. When i was in the middle of preparing for my mission, I began to feel "off" and i began to notice reoccurring, things, little things. As i went, and truly went through the repentance process, i began to feel my saviors love, and his sacrifice so that i could have that opportunity to repent, so that I could better serve him in the Philippines. Now i am going to the Philippines, and i feel whole, i feel clean, and i feel the peace that can only come through the atonement. If it wasn't for this church, i would not be striving to do my very best, in school, with family, friends, and in my callings. This church is the true church, i would not be willing to give up two years of my life if it wasn't. I know that Joseph Smith was a essential tool to restoring the gospel back to the earth. I know that there is still a prophet on this earth today, Thomas S Monson, and he is the mouth piece of Heavenly Father. I know that Jesus Christ, lives and that he suffered my sins and yours, and that he has given us the way to return to live with him again.

How I live my faith

I serve as a webelos assistant den leader, and every Tuesday, i get the opportunity to teach something new to these crazy 10 year old boys. I will gladly volunteer my time to help out the youth in my ward. In more recent news i received my mission call, and i am going to the Philippines, Cebu mission, where I will be speaking Cebuano. I feel truly blessed to go out for two years and bring others unto the light of the gospel
