Hi I'm Benjamin Perdue

Im from a small city in Texas called Krum and Santiago, Chile is my home for 2 years. Im a Latter Day Saint.

About Me

My whole life I have been raised in Texas, and taught the Gospel, the Doctrine of Christ as found in the Bible and Book of Mormon. I have a family of six, one older brother who is my shining example and is serving the Lord in Cochabama, Bolivia right now, and I also have 2 younger sisters. My hobbies have been enjoying the company of my best friends and sharing many experiences with them, shooting clay pigeons, and riding four-wheelers and dirtbikes. I have learned to work hard in whichever thing I am laboring in, and right now that is serving the Lord for the people of Santiago, Chile. This work that I am in has taught me many things and most importantly has taught me how important the Gospel of Jesus Christ is, and that by living the teachings of Christ we can find a happiness in this life that we can find nowhere else. I am 19 years old, young and have much to learn, but I know with all my heart that this church is true. The Bible and the Book of Mormon are testimonies of its truthfulness.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason that I am LDS (Latter Day Saint, or Mormon) is because I have prayed to our Heavenly Father about the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, and have recieved an answer that it is true through the Holy Ghost, which manifests its truthfulness through peaceful thoughts and a calm feeling. I was born into this church, but just as everyone else must, I had to know for myself that this church and the Book of Mormon was true. I couldnt just take everyone elses word for it. I recieved my answer and I am here serving our God.

How I live my faith

Right now, I am a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My purpose is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them have faith in Him and His atonement, repentance, baptism, and enduring to the end. These 2 years that I have are all committed to our Heavenly Father, and Christ. Many people think that religion, or having faith in Christ, is just an idea or something you can say and be okay. The truth is that God requires that we show our faith, through our works, as taught in James. When one has a desire to achieve something, he works towards it. I live this gospel by being an example of chirst, and trying to develop each day attributes that he showed and taught us.
