Hi I'm Ryan Tholen

I grew up in South Weber, Utah. I am a missionary serving in the Chile Antofagasta Mission. I am a Mormon

About Me

I have been a Mormon my whole life. I love to play soccer, and basketball. I also love to wakeboard, wake surf, and just be on a boat. I am going to college, just studying generals. I love to hang out with my friends. To go play xbox, or watch movies, or just talk. I was in leadership positions from 6th grade to 12th grade. I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for various reasons. First I have been raised into a good LDS family. My parents have raised me to want to come unto Christ every day. Being raised in the church I still had to find my own testimony, instead of living off of my parents or siblings. In a way I have been converted and know that this church is true through prayer, scripture reading, going to church, and going to the Temple. The second reason is because this gospel blesses the lives of so many people. I have been able to see it work mighty miracles. There are others that don't know the blessing that the gospel of Jesus Christ bring. I want to share that to the world. To testify of Christ that He lives. I want to testify that familys can be forever, and not just for this life. We have so much to look forward to, and I am proud to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary for the church right now. I am serving in Chile. Being a missionary is a great way to show my love towards others and to serve them. I get to be a missionary for the rest of my life. I love to serve others, and as I do I feel closer to Jesus Christ. I wake up every morning say my prayers, and read the Book of Mormon. I need to be a representative of Christ every single day. I try to center my life around Jesus Christ and do the things that He would have me do. As I do those things I am able to progress in ways I never knew.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Ryan Tholen
Joseph Smith was a young boy in 1820 who wanted to know which church is true. He was reading in James 1:5 in the Bible. He decided to pray and ask God him self. After doing so, Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ. He was told to restore the church of Jesus Christ again on the earth. Through Joseph Smith we now have the Book of Mormon, the authority of God, and many more things that bless the lives of everyone Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Ryan Tholen
Of all of the names that come to power and deity, God asks us to address him as Father. He is our Heavenly Father, and we are His children. I think he has given us our families to feel a little bit of the love He has for each one of us. He has given us our families to guide us, to protect us, and to feel of His love. Our Heavenly Father blesses us by letting us live with our families for forever. I love my family. I know that through the power of God, and His church my family and all families can be together forever. He loves us and wants the best for all of us. He is my Father. I love him, and I know He loves me. I have seen and felt that love through my family. Show more Show less
