Hi I'm David

I grew up in Texas and then went to BYU-Provo for a year. I am now serving a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a pretty big fan of playing percussion! I've been playing for about 7-8 years, and I love to play the marimba especially. I participated in the BYU Wind Symphony and had the opportunity to share music with those in Europe.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this Church and this gospel IS the restored church and gospel of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I have prayed about whether the Book of Mormon is true or not, and that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that this church is true. I found out by praying to my Heavenly Father and the Holy Ghost confirmed in my heart that these things are true. God does speak to a prophet today, and God can answer my questions individually as well because He loves me. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ, and we can draw closer to Christ by living by its precepts IF we let it, and if we ask with a sincere desire to know the truth. When we ask in faith, with real intent, in the name of Christ, we WILL receive an answer. After we receive that answer, we also have to be willing to act on the things we receive.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the very best that I can. I'm not perfect, and I'll be the first to admit it, but I know that the Lord has great things in store for all of us as we do our best. I made a promise when I was baptized to follow the example of Jesus Christ, and I strive to honor that promise every day. It's not always easy, but I try and do my best.

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?
