Hi I'm Eric

I grew up in Oregon. I'm a dad and a professor. I'm trying to find ways to help low-income kids go to college.

About Me

I am a father, husband, brother, teacher, researcher, and a die hard Red Sox fan. I love baseball and enjoy coaching my boys' teams. I enjoy traveling with my wife and am trying to learn new languages. I am a university professor and my studies focus on how to improve students' collegiate experiences. I am fat and bald and have rumbled through two marathons.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have studied the scriptures and prayed to know it is true. I feel that God answered my prayer. On a day to day basis, I gain inspiration from praying and reading the Bible and The Book of Mormon. I admire how the church takes care of the poor, and how it empowers individuals, especially young teen-agers.

How I live my faith

I enjoy teaching on Sundays. I love listening and learning from others' experiences with God. In my work, I try to design opportunities for people to get more education. Helping others find new opportunities and improving their lives are central to the way I live my faith. I am not perfect, but I try to be better each day.
