Hi I'm Shane Pierson

I grew up in southern California, I love helping others. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I was born to parents raised in the Latter-day Saint church, and am the second of 4 children. My parents and grandparents always stressed the importance of family and made it a point to go out of their way to ensure my success spirtually and temporally. I do the same for my wife and children know. Their legacy is set in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have read and studied the doctrines of this church. I have practiced the principles and teachings in my daily life and have participated in the ordinances performed by the priesthood of the church. I have prayed for our Heavenly Father to testify to me that this church teaches His doctrine and have asked for the spirit to testify of the truth of the Book of Mormon and the calling of Joseph Smith as a prophet in our time. He has confirmed that it is true. He confirmed to me through the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon and the Bible are his words to us. He has validated that Joseph is a prophet called to restore Christ's church to the earth. I know with a surety that Christ is my savior and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is his restored church, and only it holds ALL of the truth necessary for our exhaltation. I believe that many faiths are blessed with truth, but that they lack all of truths necessary to make it possible for us to return to our Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. As a father and husband, I am greatful that Christ restored his church to the earth, which has allowed me to have a strong foundation upon which I will raise my two daughters, and, soon to be here, son. My girls know how to pray, they will have many opportunities to accept or reject the gospel themselves, and they will know that I have a testimony of the gospel. Regardless of any decisions they make, I have the faith that we can be together forever as we repent.

How I live my faith

I focus my efforts on making new friends and serving others, both through callings and my responsibilities as a priesthood holder, but also as a good neighbor. I do my best to remember others and their needs, and try and focus myself on helping others reach their spiritual and temporal goals.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Shane Pierson
A testimony in our church is much like a testimony that you might give at the pulpit in court. It is a pure witness of the experiences you have and specific things you see, feel, hear, etc... A testimony of the gospel comes from sensory experiences with our Heavenly Father through his spirit. It is obtained and retained by those who actively seek it or or receive it as their senses tell them that they are witnessing God's hand in their life. A testimony then becomes a delicate seed that must be nourished by the good word of God, and cultivated through prayer and obediance. This testimony then becomes a firm foundation upon which a life of obedience and righteousness will rest. Show more Show less
