Hi I'm Shane

I have recently been baptized into the church and had no religious belief's previously now i'm a mormon!

About Me

I work fulltime with lifting and marine rigging equipment. I am a father of 2 children who i love very much and get to visit regularly since i am seperated. I have been trying to teach my self DIY renovations. I try to get to the beach or fish when i can, i like sports and anything out doors BBQ's parks spending time with my kids. I enjoy riding dirt bikes, I go to gigs and music festivals.

Why I am a Mormon

I had never been religious in my life untill earlier this year an old friend (member of the church) from high school had come over with the missionaries to share the gospel. Honestly at first i was unsure of what i wanted to or was going to gain from having these lessons. After sometime and begining to learn more about the gospel with reading the scriptures and prayer I felt that this was actually what i was missing in my life! I am truely blessed to be able to be apart of our heavenly fathers plan. I was at a time in my life when i was ready to accept and learn for myself the truths, and from this i can now say that i know that this is the true church of jesus christ and it has been restored on earth by the prophet Joseph Smith and i know there is a living prophet Thomas S Monson.

How I live my faith

I have not yet been asigned a calling within the church yet as iam still a new member. I do home teaching and share a mesage to other members within their homes, this gives me great pleasure to share and discuss with people things that may relate in our lives to help guide and strengthen us within ourselves.

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Shane
To be called a cult is usually because people are trying to criticize or make a bad name about the church, who dont know or understand what it is we believe in or do in our church, its good when people take the time to hear what the church is about to understand better. Show more Show less
