I enjoy going camping and hiking. I like video games, singing (not in front of others), bowling, and dragons. When I was in 10th grade I droped out, but through faith and hard work I graduated. I believe you can do anything you put your mind to. Now I am going to collage. I am going to a culinary arts school, One day I hope to own my own resturant. A friend of mine made his dreams come true. I hope to use his example and do the same. I love my friends and family. I love my wife and daughter.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was about 17 I was given the choice of going to church or not. I chose not to. I decided to go a different path and made some mistakes. One thing that always kept me from making huge mistakes was some of the beliefs I still had. My mom would have her home teachers or the missionaries over for dinner. I would always sit with them. I always believed in being married for time and all eternity. There was still apart of me always interested in the Gospel. I decided to quite making the mistakes I made and live my life the way I wanted to. I still didn't go back to church. I tried a couple of times. After moving to Oregon I was still not going to church. Until a year later. My sister encouraged me to go back. At that time my family was noticing a change in my attitude. I then started to go back to church rarely. Until my sister-in-law wrote me a letter. At first I thought she had no right to tell me the things she did, but she was right. My attitude was getting worse and she noticed. I made more of an effort to go. I read The Book of Mormon all the way through for the first time. That is when it hit me and hit me hard. I read the part where an angel was asking Nephi " What desirest thou." I had to ask myself the same question. Then I prayed about it. I was given the answer to search the book again, and I did. In the verse it said, "These things are true." I knew then that it was meant for me. The power I felt in my heart was wonderful. I have been going to church.

How I live my faith

I was born into the religon. When I was younger it was great, but I didnt really understand. Then as I grew I had some experiances that were not so great. I wondered if I could ever be forgiven. I love being in the church now. Am I perfect, no. However I try to do the best I can, by living the gospel that our father in heaven has provided. In my church I help the leaders of our mens group (18+) by doing hometeaching. Also I am a distirict leader and help others who hometeach let our leaders know how families are doing. I help out when service opertunites are available. It is always nice to know that we can help each other and the great feeling that comes from doing so. We help provide service in the temple or help clean the church building. My wife and I sometimes invite others over to have dinner with us. My wife and I read our scriptures and say prayers. sometmimes we even include our daughter. It is not always easy to do so at her age. We also try to do our family geneology work. Though we just started it is fun to see where we come from.
