Hi I'm Jenessa Hatch

I'm happy being a Mormon (:

About Me

I am a college student and have just completed my sophomore year! After changing my mind out about many majors I have finally decided that I am majoring in Child Development and Preschool Education as an associates. I love kids, I love being around them, I love teaching them and just love the spirit they have. I grew up in many places in Utah and 4 years in Washington. I love to be active and participate in outdoor activities. In high school I did competitive swimming and missed state qualifications by .52 of a second. I love to be wild and just have a fun time; dancing, singing (for fun of course) and just having a good time with friends. For my down time, I love to just draw and let my mind wander. This last October 2012, President Monson annoucned that Worthy Young Women can now serve missions at the age of 19 if they chose to. I have recently received my mission call to Montevideo Uruguay. I will be serving for 18 months and speaking spanish! I am so happy to be serving the Lord and spreading this amazing Gospel. I love this church and the people in it. I even love the people of Uruguay, and I haven't even met them yet.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was born into this church, I am a Mormon because I choose to be. Being a Mormon makes me happy. There were times in my past life were I had questioned this church, I had fallen away and really struggled making the right decisions. When I was struggling, I had noticed a change in my behavior and thoughts, I wasn't happy, I wasn't myself, and I wanted to change that. "When you choose to follow Christ, you choose to be changed." -President Monson I came to realize that being a true member of this church gives me great blessings and makes me truly happy, and that is what I want in my life. I am so grateful that I am a member of this church. I know that this church is absolutely true. I know that I have a Father in Heaven who knows my desires, and helps me achieve those desires by living righteously. I know he has sent his only and begotten son down to earth to teach His children. I am so grateful that I am on this earth today to be able to teach, serve, and love His children. And I leave these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

How I live my faith...well I once learned from someone that just by being an example can show ones faith. I think throughout all the callings I have had, I have shown a good example of how to serve and love each other. Ever since I turned 12 I have served in big callings, I was the president in all three Young Women age groups. After I graduated I have been a Gospel Doctrine teacher, and a presidency member in the woman's age group after 18 years of age. All these callings were great for me because I had the opportunity to teach all the people in my ward. I got to know them and love them all. One thing that I really loved about my callings, is the way they all taught me, showed an example to me of how they lived their faith.
