Hi I'm Sherika McLeod Johnson

I am from Jamaica. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ in its fulness and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and I have a son. I am a trained secondary school Science teacher who enjoys interacting with the youth. I enjoy music that helps me to feel the Spirit and invite peace in times of trial. I have come to understand the power of prayer and the loving guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon means standing as a witness of God at all times and that i will be blessed to have the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, with me always. I am able to have a connection with my Maker, get real answers to my prayers, and benefit from miracles; all these dispel doubt and fill me with hope and happiness.

How I live my faith

I enjoy playing the piano, serving and sharing my talents at church meetings. I feel great joy and comfort as I study and desire to know for myself what God's plan is for me and when He answers my prayers. Despite what is going on around me, I know that God knows me and wants the best for me. Reading the scriptures, praying, and listening to his servants gives me the faith to believe, hope and endure.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Sherika McLeod Johnson
A testimony is a sure conviction that a person has of the truthfulness of this restored gospel of Jesus Christ and its doctrines or teachings. It comes from study and prayer and a desire to know for sure if the teachings of the gospel are true. A testimony is based on a living Heavenly father, Jesus Christ the Saviour, and a living prophet who leads the church. Show more Show less
