Hi I'm Eva

I am a nursing student and a mother of five. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a Mormon all my life. I learned to play the piano when I was seven years old and my mom was my teacher. My parents got divorced when I was 6 years old, it was tough. My mom was very active in the church and just watching the great confidence she had in the Lord helped me to put that same confidence in Him as I was growing up. I have 4 boys and one girl and I have been married for 12 years. I am a couple of months away from graduating from nursing school. I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and going to church on Sundays. I have 3 sisters, but unfortunately they are not very active in the church and I have two half brothers from my mom's second marriage and the oldest is getting ready to leave on his mission and it brings me great joy to see his great desire to show others and the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live and that they love me very much. I have witnessed his marvelous hand during hard and troubled times and I have felt his presence and his love. I know that I am not here by accident, I know that I have a purpose and that if I follow his commandments, serve others and him, my life will continue to be blessed with happiness. I have been faced with some very hard trials in my life, some that I felt that I would never be able to overcome, but I know that I overcame them, because Heavenly Father was with me the whole time. Though sometimes He may not answer my prayers right away, I know that He is listening and if He doesn't answer, many times it is because there is something I need to learn first. I have learned that Heavenly Father never gives us trials bigger than what we can withstand and that whatever He asks of us, he asks because He has prepared us for that work that he wants us to perform.

How I live my faith

I accept any callings that my leaders have asked of me. On sundays I would help out the children that are between the ages of 18 months to 12 years for 8 years. I loved it because it gave the opportunity to teach the children lessons and songs about our Heavenly Father and the great love that he has for us. I would organize activities or parties for the children and also for adult women to give them the opportunity to mingle and to get to know eachother better. I have been assigned to visit women in my church, I have become good friends with them and also been given the opportuntiy to help them in any way that I can and eventually felt a great love for them.
