Hi I'm Erica Tucker

I have a deep love for music. I have a deep love for family and friends. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am honestly just your average girl. I like chick flicks, I laugh till sunrise with my friends, and I dream of one day finding my prince charming. I grew up in a small town, the same town that all of my family has lived in forever! And I have been so blessed to have all of my family surrounding me since I was born. As a result, my family has a bond that is stronger than any chain or rope that could ever be made. It wasn't until I left it all and went a million miles away to school that I really appreciated it all. Music is my passion. I have been involved with music since I was in 2nd grade. When I feel like no one else is there, music always is. It gets me no matter what and always has the right things to say. When I listen to music or perform, I feel empowered, like I can conquer anything! I am horrible at making decisions and rely on my mom and my friends to help me. But I have learned through the agony of making decisions is that when I trust the Lord, He is going to take care of me. I am human; and every decision is mine, I have the privilege to make it. I make mistakes. But I try to live my life in a way that others around me will know what I stand for. Family, friends, my testimony, love, and music matter most to me. Upon these values, I build my foundation. One that is strong and immovable.

Why I am a Mormon

Just a short time ago, if I was asked this question, I would have just answered because I have been a member since I was born, it's what I know and love. But the real reason, the deeper reason is because I know that this is the true gospel. I know that because I am a member of this church, I am a better person and I have complete joy. I wouldn't trade that for the world.

How I live my faith

For my ripe age of 21, I have had a lot of opportunity to serve in different positions in the church. From the time I was 12 to the present day I have been exposed to different leadership positions in different organizations. I have served as a youth activity planner where I, with the help of about 10 others, were able to organize a conference for the youth in my town. There was dancing and laughing. But there was also service projects where we cleaned off trails in a few local parks and we helped demolish a garage. What has helped me most in serving in the different areas of the church is leadership. I have learned qualities that no school could have taught me. Because of being a member, I am able to speak in public without too much fear, although I still get butterflies! I am able to take charge and get work done. And I have learned the importance of everyone helping. If there is one weak link, the whole chain is going to break. These qualities that I have learned through serving in the church have definitely helped me in my schooling and work.
