Hi I'm Tyler

I was raised in the suburbs of D.C. with 5 brothers. I love sports and hanging out with friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing sports and hanging out with friends. I come from a family with 6 boys, which means there was never a dull moment at my house. For as long as I can remember, we have had an annual trip to the hospital for one thing or another, usually following a "great" idea that one of the brothers had. My parents have always supported me in trying to reach my goals and have blessed me by teaching me to have high standards and to serve others. I am going to go to school at Brigham Young University and majoring in Mechanical Engineering, but as for the present moment, I am serving a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Colorado, Colorado Springs Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon has brought much more comfort to me than merely believing in Christ. The teachings and standards of the church have helped me understand why we do things and how they help us. By keeping an eternal perspective and not limiting my focus only to this short life on earth, I am able to be strong and steadfast in living my standards and principles. Having a knowledge of the Plan of Salvation keeps my priorities alligned. Living in the world but striving to not be of it is not always easy, but then again, salvation was never easy. It was never easy for Christ, how could we expect any different? By living the commandments that God has given us, we are promised that as we endure in faith, we will be blessed by living with our families and enjoying eternal happiness in the presence of God and Jesus Christ. That is my goal. That is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving as a missionary and striving to share the Restored Gospel with all who will listen. As a missionary I am a called and sustained representative of Jesus Christ and I try to conduct myself as such, in word and action, every single day. I feel genuine love for those around me who do not yet know of the blessings that come from knowing and living the fullness of Christ's Gospel. My service is not only limited to those who have not yet been blessed by recieving baptism by God's authority and the Gift of the Holy Ghost, everyday I visit members in their homes and try to build their faith and renew their drive to come unto the Savior. In this work, I find more joy, happiness, and fullfillment than in anything else.
