Hi I'm Kirsten

I'm a college student, a daughter to wonderful parents, a daughter of our Heavenly Father and a Mormon.

About Me

I love horseback riding, reading and spending time with my family and friends. I'm a college student and a convert who was baptized on October 29th, 2011. I used to travel a lot and came from a military family. I've visited more countries than I have states.

Why I am a Mormon

I wasn't looking for a church when a friend of mine started talking about his religion. We spoke a lot about it and he started telling me things that he does within the church that sparked my interest. After months of talking, he finally told me that there was a Temple Open House. I agreed to go because of my curiosity. When we went inside one of the rooms in the Temple, I had this really hard pressure on my chest and my heart started racing. I was sure I was going to die right then and there. Later that night, I was very confused about what had happened and I felt that I needed to tell my friend about it. He laughed slightly and said "Kirsten. You weren't having a heart attack. That was the Holy Spirit confirming to you that what you were hearing was true." I started praying about it and studying. I came to the conclusion that that is where God wanted me to be. With my friends help, I was able to start speaking with the missionaries and having regular discussions. I'm very sure had they asked me to be baptized that first day I would have, but I went through the discussions with complete optimism. My baptism date was October 29th, 2011. That was the best day of my life and I know in my heart that this is the true church of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I help out at my local SPCA with caring for the various animals there. I was helping out with the Young Women in my previous ward.
