Hi I'm Will

I am from King City, California. I love my family, friends, sports, and rock n' roll. I'm a Mormon

About Me

My Name is Will. I am a sports nut. I love every sport, but my favorite is basketball. I also enjoy watching movies and listening to music (especially Classic Rock). I was born and raised in King City, California, a small town with many great memories for me and my friends. I am going to BYU in Provo, Utah and am still searching for a major. Some of my thoughts are towards education, broadcast journalism, and economics. I recently just came home from a 2 year mission to the great people of Minnesota. I enjoyed every moment of it and consider it to easily the most important decision I have ever made. I am the second of 4 kids. Older Brother, Me, Younger Brother, and Youngest Sister. My mom and my dad are great examples of the blessings of raising a family in a Christ-centered home. I love my family above everything else and I know I can live with them for eternity. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Savior's true church on the Earth again. I know The Book of Mormon is a true book of scripture and will bless anyone's life if they simply read. I know God loves me and everyone else and I know Christ suffered so that we may live with our Father in Heaven again.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I know the Gospel is true. Like everyone else I had to pray and know for myself if the Church and the Book of Mormon were true. I know they are. I love the Gospel and have seen many blessings come as I strive to follow the commandments set by God through his prophets. I have been able to observe what happens when we don't follow the commandments because of some of my friends who made poor decisions. As I have served my mission, my desire to share the Gospel with these friends has grown because I know it is what they need. The peace I have felt from the Holy Ghost and the sure knowledge that God knows and loves me has lifted me out of my most depressing days. Everyone can know this message is true, they just need to pray with faith.

How I live my faith

I know I am a son of God. I love the Lord with all my heart, therefore I do what he asks of me. I strive to live the commandments he has given us and learn his word. I live my faith most by who I am. As a believer, I need to show a good example to everyone around me. I have often made mistakes, and so I have sought God for forgiveness and peace. I have felt his love and the sure peace of his spirit in my life many times. I have grown to be a more loving person and desire to always be like the Savior. I read daily the words of the Christ and his servants, in other words, the scriptures. They give me a sense of peace and a protection against the many temptations that come daily. I know that as we follow even the simplest, and sometimes seemingly insignificant, commandments, we are blessed to have the Spirit of the Lord with us.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

The Church does not and has not endorsed any specific political party or candidate. The Church does encourage its members to vote with their best judgement and with regards to principals taught in the gospel such as the importance of families. It is important to the Church that its members always try to improve the community in which they live, so it highly recommends being involved in political, governmental, and community affairs. How can I know Mormonism is true?

Anyone can know the truth of the Gospel. The Holy Ghost has the ability to speak to your heart and mind in ways that vary person to person. Thoughts and feelings that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true or The Book of Mormon is true come from the Holy Ghost as we honestly desire to know the truth and pray with faith that God will answer our prayers. It may not happen immediately, for me it took a few hours. For some it takes months and years. But as we earnestly put forth the effort to pray about what others have taught us, we will KNOW the truth. Show more Show less
