Hi I'm Joey Mattison

I am from Mesa, Arizona. I'm a sports fanatic. I'm a mama's boy. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Mesa AZ and love it there! Right now I'm a missionary in Minneapolis, Minnesota and am loving it! I'm a baller. I'll just leave it at that. I also love anything that involves some kind of board. I have a great family, probably the best one in the world. 4 younger sisters, a younger brother, and an older brother, along with my mama and pops. I'm going to become a pediatric specialist after my mission, or even a pro sports doctor, that is ultimately my dream.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because this religion makes so much sense! Seriously everything ties in together and is perfect. Not only that, but it is actually something I agree with, and something I want. It makes me happy knowing that I can return to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ after this life is over. I also love the concept of families being together forever, to know that I can be sealed to my family for all eternity is priceless. This Gospel has always made me happy and know who I really am, and what I can become. It has made me the man I am today, and truly makes me want to come closer to Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by doing all I can to serve others. I know that even though I am only one person, I can make a difference. All Christ did was serve, and that's who I want to follow. By following his example and doing all I can to walk in his path, I can be an example to others. I want people to know that I follow Christ and am not ashamed of it. By serving others i show my love that I have for them and also the love I have for the Savior. The Priesthood is a great example of that. All that you do with the Priesthood is for someone else, never for you. I live my Faith by earnestly building the kingdom of God as much as I can, and I find myself doing that when I serve others (Matthew 25:40).
