Hi I'm Josh

I am about the Mormon life, NBA basketball, Miami Hurricanes, West Virginia country roads I am a MORMON!

About Me

I enjoy sports such as football, basketball, and baseball. I'm a big Miami Hurricanes fan, and Memphis Grizzlies fan. I love spending time with my friends and family. My most favorite thing to do is...MISSIONARY WORK!

Why I am a Mormon

I am so blessed to be born into this church. I just wish that everyone would realize why this church is so great and true! I try so hard every day, Satan is out there and God gives us challenges to test our faith. All we gotta do is read the Book of Mormon and pray with real intent and a sincere heart to find out if it's true, if you know that the Book of Mormon is true then you know that Joseph Smith restored the Gospel. Every one can partake of the fullness of the gospel! I know that this is the only fully true church on the Earth today because I have read the Book of Mormon. I know that Joseph Smith did see God the Father and the Son Jesus Christ. I know that God and Jesus Christ have a body of flesh and bone and are separate beings. I know that Thomas Spencer Monson is a prophet on the earth today and holds the keys to run Jesus Christ's church. The church is true and Jesus is awesome!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be like Jesus. Even though I know I will never be like Him in this life, I try as hard as I can to be Christlike. Jesus said "Ye are the light of the World." I try to be a light to all the people around me. The way I let my light shine is by sharing the gospel with those around me.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

In the Book of Mormon 2 Nephi 25:23 it says "for it is by grace we are saved after all we can do" I've honestly struggled understanding the doctrine of grace throughout the past few years until I heard it explained to me like this; your Mother wants you to start taking piano lessons. She has put forth a lot of money to help you to learn the piano. All she asks you to do is try your best to practice everyday and learn. You want to make your Mom happy so you do your best to practice up for the recital. In this analogy, Jesus Christ is your Mom. His grace and mercy is infinite and long-suffering. If we do our best to be like Him and follow Him, His grace is sufficient for us all. We have to have the right desires in our heart, and sacrifice a broken heart, and a contrite spirit.
