Hi I'm Jesse Wight

I grew up in Calgary, Alberta. I am a singer and musician. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I just graduated from High School this past year. I have been playing various instruments but focus on singing. I've been singing seriously since my 10th grade. I enjoy reading though I don't read as much as I'd like.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but it was not until a couple years ago that I was truly converted to this church. I read the Book of Mormon all the way through for the first time and took Moroni's challenge at the end of the book to pray to know if it is true. So thats what I did and while I was praying, I felt this immense feeling of warmth and peace and I knew for myself that the book was true. Being a mormon gives me the peace in my life to know that the only thing that matters is Jesus Christ and that through Him, I can conquer any struggle or trial that comes my way. Having the companionship of the Holy Spirit alone makes it all worth the effort to be a mormon.

How I live my faith

Currently, I am preparing to serve a 2 year mission. I I try every day to never be ashamed of my religion. I talk about my faith openly with my co-workers and tell them why I am the way I am. I let my friends know where I stand and where my standards are. I try every day to help people out where I can cause thats what I like to do.

What is being a Mormon like?

Jesse Wight
To me, being a mormon is like being a normal person with a greater sense of belonging and knowledge of where we are going in the eternal perspective. Being a mormon, I have an amazing family who all, more or less, gets along and loves each other. This has been huge for me. Show more Show less
