Hi I'm Logan Smith

Im from Idaho and im currently serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

Im 20 years old and currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Las Vegas Nevada. I love the outdoors. camping, shooting, fishing, snowboarding, and most of all dirtbiking. Im currently a certified/licenced Airframe mechanic and would love to be a pilot someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church my whole life, i was raised a mormon. I am extremely grateful for this and for my parents teaching me the truth of this gospel. I have always had a testimony of this church but being on a mission has greatly strengthened my knowledge that this is, with no doubt, the Lords church on the earth today. No matter what we have done in our lifes or whatever sins have been commited, we can repent and be forgiven of those. We can live with God again in his eternal and everlasting kingdom. Our families can be blessed so much by living this gospel and we can be with them after this life. I know this to be true.

How I live my faith

Since I am currently a full time missionary, all my time for the next two years is dedicated to bringing others unto christ and his restored gospel on the earth today. I love the people i am able to teach and always want the best for them. I help them understand more fully what this church is all about, and that families can be together for eternity, it doesnt end after this life.

What is the First Vision?

Logan Smith
During the period of time when christ's church wasn't on the earth, there were many other beliefs and churches that brought questions to a young boy named Joseph Smith. Joseph wanted to know the truth and which church he should join. One day while reading in the bible he came across a verse in James chapter 1 verses 5, reading; "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him" Joseph decided to do just that, ask God what he should do. On a beautiful spring day in 1820, Joseph went to a grove of trees near his home and started to pray to ask God which is the true church to join. While praying, he had an amazing experience that is described in his own words by this; "I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which decended gradually untill it fell upon me. When the light rested upon me, i saw two personages, whos brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other- 'This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!' " God the father and his son Jesus Christ appeared to joseph and told him to join none of the churches, and directed him to restore the true church of Jesus Christ and priesthood authority on the earth.
