Hi I'm Kyleigh Alestra

I am a regular, teenage girl who can't stop dreaming about my future RM;) I AM A MORMON:)

About Me

Right now I'm so close to getting my medallion! I LOVE hanging out with my friends and going on trips with them. I'm sort of into tumbling right now but who knows how long that will last, haha.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church so I've had it pretty easy... or as easy as it can be to be a 'peculiar people'. I live in Utah though so it's easier than say Texas. I think that sometimes I take the church for granted because I've had it my whole life. But every time I do, I have a humbling experience that helps me realize the importance of the LDS church.

How I live my faith

I am the first counselor in the MIA maids class (young women 14-16) presidency for my ward. Being so, I feel a great need to be an example to the girls. In some ways I think that's the main reason I'm in the presidency. For me to be a good example. If I wasn't in the presidency, I don't think I'd watch myself as much. So I'm grateful for my calling. I love the youth in my ward! I loved Youth Conference, it was the best experience. I'd rather do that than girls camp! I love Mutual activities.

What is the difference between attending church and the temple?

Kyleigh Alestra
In church, we meet and learn together about the gospel. We have sacrament meeting there and we can get baptized there and we have activities there. In the church there is a reverent atmosphere, but in the temple it is even more reverent. You need to be worthy to go to the temple and you have to have a temple recommend. In the temple you can be sealed to your family forever or get baptized for people who died and didn't have the chance. Both places are houses of God and you should treat them as such.
