Hi I'm Denise

My faith is me.

About Me

I'm blessed enough to be married to the love of my life, but it wasn't always that way. I'm divorced from my children's father, so as a Mormon, that was difficult. The Lord does work in mysterious ways, though, as now I'm so very happy! I used to be a stay-at-home Mom, but once divorced, I needed to work. I wasn't sure what to do, so I signed up at a temp agency, and eight years later, I'm still employed with the company that I had my first temporary assignment with! I absolutely love my job, and I know the only way I got it was through divine intervention. The Lord was looking out for me during the lowest point of my life. Aug 2014 update: so the company I was with is experiencing severe problems, and my job was eliminated so I was laid off. I'm really not sure what I'm going to do next. I'm just trying to trust that the Lord knows what is best for me and will lead me there. Stay tuned for the next chapter!

Why I am a Mormon

Because it's true, and I cannot deny it. I was raised Catholic, but joined the church when I was 27, after being introduced to it through a friend.

How I live my faith

Just about everything I do revolves around the Gospel and returning to live with Heavenly Father. I feel I often fall short, but I know the important thing is to just keep trying and to stay close to the Spirit.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

In addition to the official church answer, I would like to add that when something makes you happy, you want to share it. As church members, we believe we have answers to many questions that people think are not answerable. We want to bring the peace and joy of the full Gospel of Jesus Christ to others, so they, too, may experience the happiness associated with the Gospel. Show more Show less
