Hi I'm Terry

I grew up in Idaho to a "less active" / nonobservant Mormon family. I had to find out for myself what I wanted.

About Me

I recently retired from working at Del Monte Foods USA Research Center. I have seven children, five sons and two daughters. I majored in Chemistry at BYU so all things science interest me, especially Astronomy. My retirement party is a 1800 mile cycling trip with my wife and sons from Canada to Mexico on the Western Coast of the USA, now completed and it was wonderful. I am also interested in Ham Radio, electronics, and Genealogy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because a high school councilor sugested I should go to college at the nearby Ricks College in Idaho. There I discovered the people I meet had something special that I wanted and I set out to learn about it. Through spiritual experiences I have had Gods Spirit witness to me that this was the truth about the Universe, the Cosmos and life. It has made all the difference in my life and brought me more happiness than I would have ever expected.

How I live my faith

I have been closely associated with the youth groups of the LDS church where I have attended, primarily Scouting. I have had wonderful scouting experiences with my sons and have developed interest in high adventure activities such as backpacking, kayaking, and cycling.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Terry
I strongly feel that when I understand spiritual truths ideally and know science as it truly is I will find that they descripe one and the same world/Universe/Cosmos. Show more Show less
