Hi I'm James Tom Kirk Reece

I am currently a Missionary serving in Scotland/ Ireland Mission, I joined the church in August 21st 2011.

About Me

My name is James Reece. I am currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have been called to Labour in the Scotland/ Ireland Mission. I am 22 years of age, and have now been baptised for 4 years. I know how important it is for us to be able to help out our families and share this gospel with our loved ones. I was baptised on Aug 21st of 2011 the day right after I got back from Youth Conference. If you have a chance to go to Youth Conference I would strongly recommend that you take full advantage of it as for me The experiences I had in my one year at Youth conference helped grow my testimony and bring me closer to our heavenly father :), since then, I have attended several conferences and each one strengthens me alot. My Faith Is My Life, I would do anything for My Savior. I love Missionary work so much, more than anything else in the Entire World. I have always been a follower in Life, and only recently Have I had the chance to grow into a Leader. I will stand up for my faith, and I don't care if the whole world knows I am a MORMON and if people were to bully me for it. I know who I am and I know God's Plan.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because the Gospel is a big part of my life. I am a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter- Day Saints because I Know this church is TRUE!! It's stories are a big influence to the faith that I have. It is more important than anything else. I knew this Church was true from the moment I first came to church. I've been to many other Christian Churches and from the moment I walked into the chapel I knew it was The true church. I knew that this is where I was meant to be and I am thankful for being able to serve the Lord as one of his Missionaries. I love the Peace and Joy that the gospel brings, how it can completely Lift someone from the Pits of Despair and rebuild them and strengthen them. I am a Mormon because I know this Gospel is true, and I know that Our Heavenly Father and His Son appeared to a young boy named Joseph Smith, who was the Prophet of the church and still is. I know that the priesthood has been restored unto faithful men and we have been given the ability to act in the Lord's Name. I truly know that " If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of god, who giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not, and it shall be given" is true and that whenever there are things I've needed to know All I've had to do is ask of God if these things are true and as stated in Moroni 10:4, " Ask God if these things are not true and if you ask with a broken heart and contrite spirit , having faith in Christ , he will make the truth of these things unto you by the power of the Holy Ghost, and by the power of the Holy Ghost you may know the truth of all things ". I am a Mormon because the Lord revealed to me that this is His true church. I know it is the truth. I am a Mormon because It has blessed me so much already in my life, and it is the way the Lord has designated for us to bring up our children and to maintain our relationships, I know as I follow his plan my family can be all that it is meant to be.

How I live my faith

The way I live my faith is through example. I try my best to be able to be available to go out and teach with the Missionaries, but I also am not afraid to talk about what I know to be True with Anyone. I have always been different , then the rest of my family members, I have always had this desire to know Christ and to be able to follow him. For me I've always been different then others, I've never been into drugs or alcohol so it was hard for me because all my friends were, so the fact that I was able to join this Church and their views be the same as mine it gave me alot of faith. As well as I NEVER work on Sundays. I maintain the Sabbath to be a Holy day and I am not afraid to SAY I AM FROM THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS. The way I live my faith is I express the joy and happiness that this Church brings unto me and the joy I get when I get closer and closer to Heavenly Father. There is a scripture in 1 Nephi 8, and it talks about a tree of life with fruit that is more desireable then any other fruit, and in this vision the fruit represents the blessings of the Gospel. I have found such joy from this Gospel and I want all of the sons and daughters of God to be able to partake of it as well, just like Lehi desired his children to partake of it also. I also Know that I am weak as in my own strength but through the strength of the Lord I know I can be made strong.- Ether 12:27
