Hi I'm Craig Lenhard
Hi! I was born to non-Mormon parents on July 24th,1947...the Centennial of Pioneer Day!
We are now serving a full-time mission in Wisconsin! I was a sociologist by trade and have taught at the University level for years, trying to make it interesting and enjoyable! The most challenging areas of focus have related to the Sociology of Terrorism and the Sociology of Health and Wellness. I have 18 years of training and experience in economic development and community analysis. As a result I have been blessed to have traveled to such countries as China and Indonesia. I have been married to my sweetheart for just over 44 years! We have four daughters and one son, all married to terrific spouses in the Temple, and we now have 18 grandchildren! Music? I enjoy the blues and blues rock and love to listen to the world-class guitarist, Joe Bonamassa!
Why I am a Mormon
Because of the Missionaries and friends, I am a convert to Christianity and to the Church. I know Jesus Christ is real and He atoned for my sins. I know the Book of Mormon is holy scripture and we have a living Prophet and Twelve Apostles on the earth who are presided over by Jesus Christ. My wife and I joined when I was in graduate school and have been faithful since then! I sincerely believe that the Lord wants me to to worship Him by doing more than knowing and sharing doctrine... He expects me to strive to live it every day of my life!
How I live my faith
If we wish to change hearts, we must first love others - we must feel their hearts and listen to them! I have gladly accepted and served in various Church callings over the years. For example, I served for several years teaching the Gospel to basic Army Infantry soldiers. My wife and I served a Welfare Mission as Addiction Recovery leaders. I have helped church members and non-members find employment and training and have recently loved serving in Primary. My only compensation is feeling the happiness that comes in service! I have also participated on Chamber committees and councils and in such organizations as the Red Cross.
