Hi I'm Jamon Carver

I've grown up in Utah for a big portion of my life. I love to run! I am a Mormon.

About Me

Let's see, I like to run! I have done Marathons, Triathalons, 10ks, 5ks, 2 mile, mile, 800, 400, 200. My current record in the mile is a 4:41. I love to listen to music. My favorite songs are Nightmare Night, Bring Me to Life, and If You could Hie to Kolob. I went to a year of college before coming on a mission. Still undecisive on a Major or what I would like to study. I love the outdoors to a certain extent. I love rock climbing, repelling, cliff diving/jumping into water, mountain biking (The Whole Enchalada? is my favorite course in Moab), sling shot paintballing, just anything really, but however, I can not stand bugs and mosquitos! They are creepy and give me the willy gibbies! It takes a lot of self motivation talk for me to even kill a spider in my own home! Ask my Mission companions they know! I also love to read and draw. I love finding a good fantasy book like Brian Jaques Redwall series, or Eargon, or Harry Potter, etc! And drawing helps me bring to life ideas in my head, kinda of like the stories I read. I am planning being an Artist for a Game that me and my buds are putting together, I just love the Idea to create. And who doesn't want to create things?

Why I am a Mormon

Not sure what to really say, because I've been a Mormon my entirely life. However, I do know that being born into the faith of my parents doesn't mean that I'm automatically a member of God's Church and a part of his fold. I had to make those desicions myself. This Gospel is unique because no one is forcing you to join our church, we do everything we can to help you join it and will be extremely sad if you don't, but ultimately it is your desicion, just like every member. We all had to choose to follow him.

How I live my faith

Well since I have been a kid, I've always been apart of the LDS faith. I was baptized when I was 8. I served as president in each of the Quorum's: Deacon, Teacher, and in priest I was first counselour for a year, Bishop is the president for that. I served as the Ward Mission leader Asistant for a short time before I came out on a mission. Now I am serving a Spanish speaking mission to Mexico! But all my life, I have been living by the prinicipal of faith. There isn't a thing I do that hasn't been a result of my love for my Father in Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ. Sure, there are at times I make mistakes and I go against the will of God, but never will I lose my Faith in Them. For I know that this Latter Day Saint religion is the true religion on this earth. I know through my many experiences with Heavenly Father that he is real and that he loves me, and everyone for that matter!
