Hi I'm Parry

I'm from Vernal, UT. I love music, especially enstramental. I am a mormon

About Me

I have played in multiple bands since 6th grade (concert, jazz, and marching, as well as various ensembles). my primary instrument is percussion, my secondary trombone. In marching band I specialize in the various tenor drums. I consider myself an intellegent person; I like to learn and, hopefully, teach, but mostly learn. I have a natural aptitude for math and science, but I am terrible with grammer, spelling, and other related topics. I can hold my own in most sports; I won't be the best or the worst but I can play.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the "mormon" faith, so I have been one all my life. Early on when i was a child i went to church and did the things that I was taught because my parents told me to. Since then I have developed, over time, a firm and unbreakable testimony that this is the truth. With this gospel I have direction in my life. I know what to do and how to do it. I know that any trial or afliction that I have to go through is temparary and that with the help of Jesus Christ, my redeemer and savior, i can get through, defeat, and be victorious over anything. I am not only content with my life; I am happy. I rejoice. My life is the life that my Lord, Jesus Christ, wants for me.

How I live my faith

In my home ward I was a chorister for a while. I was involved in leadership positions here and there throught my youth. I try to help others as best I can as I participate in activities and the like.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

No. We are all children of god and therefore brothers and sisters. One of our main efforts is to help others. This means all others, not just fellow members of our church. Show more Show less

Who was Joseph Smith?

Joseph Smith was called by God to be a prophet like unto Moses, Abraham, and Noah of the old testiment. Through him God restored the fullness of his (God's) gospel on th earth. A brief summary of his life is as follows: he was born in 1805, lived in upstate New York, where there was a lot of religious confusion and contention. He didn't know which of the many churches to join. as he was reading the bible he found a scripture (James 1:5) that told him that if he needed wisdom and knowledge to go and ask God. He did this and God and Jesus Christ appeared to him. They told him that none of the churches were correct and that he should join none of them. They told him that the fullness of God's church was about to come again to the earth. Over time God and Jesus Christ restored the fullness of the church through Joseph Smith. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

The bible was written by prophets who testified of Jesus Christ. It teaches us that throught all time people have believed and tought the same message: that Christ lives, that he is the son of god, and that through him we can be saved and can return to live with our Heavanly Father (God).
