Hi I'm Nate

I grew up in Utah surrounded by a wonderful immediate and extended family.

About Me

My wife and I are working our way through school and doing our best to raise our 2 sons. I love to spend time outside, swimming, biking, hiking, back packing, camping, disc golfing, or just playing. I also tinker with computers & other electronics in my spare time.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an all Mormon family and grew up going to church every Sunday. This helped my faith in our Savior Jesus Christ grow and develop from a very young age. That faith in and love for Him has continued to grow throughout my life and is now a wonderful source of comfort and strength as I go through the challenges of life. I know Christ lives and atoned for our sins. Through Him we can be forgiven of our sins and ultimately made perfect. He loves us. He knows us. He knows and cares about me.

How I live my faith

I've recently been teaching a small Sunday school class about the basic principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It's been wonderful to study the basics in depth and in a manner aimed at sharing them with others.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

“Happiness is the object and design of our existence; and will be the end thereof, if we pursue the path that leads to it; and this path is virtue, uprightness, faithfulness, holiness, and keeping all the commandments of God.” -Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith. We are here to receive a physical body and learn to make good choices--both important steps on the path to happiness. As we learn and grow we become more like our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
