Hi I'm Bea

I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

I live in New York City with my husband & two daughters. We are a homeschooling family. I feel so lucky to be so near museums & information that is available to us because of where we live. I love being a mother more than anything else I have ever done. I find so much joy in my family. I enjoy creating. I love to sew, garden, paint, draw, cook, make music, anything that allows me to create.

Why I am a Mormon

When I read the Book of Mormon I feel peace. When I follow the council of the Prophet I feel peace. When I serve as I covenanted to do when I was baptized I feel peace. This warm calm feeling I now know to be the presence of the Holey Ghost that bears witness of the truth of all things. Through him I have felt the truth of these things and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am a doula & a birth advocate. I feel honored to be a part of the transcendent experience that women go through when they give birth. I always feel so close to my Savior when I see women go through labor & birth. I know that labor & birth are a special binding gift that God has given us so that we may better understand the suffering of the Savior & the love he has for us. I know that even when we think that something is too hard and that no one understands the experience that we are going through; I know that Christ does understand & He is aware of us and our struggle. I know that I am a daughter of God, that I was created in His image, and that He loves me.
