Hi I'm Bethany Jensen

I'm studying archaeology. I lived in Jerusalem. I love to study religion and history. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah for three years. I deferred my enrolement for 18 months to serve as a missionary for the Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Russia Moscow mission. At BYU I studied anthropology with an archaology emphasis and I worked on a minor in Ancient Near Eastern Studies. I love studying the past, and I think there is a lot to learn from all of those who have gone on before us. I also love to study and discuss religion. I think that there is truth to be found everywhere and there is something to be learned from everyone. I lived in Jerusalem for four months and because of that I have increased respect for the faiths that claim that city as their own. I love to travel, meet new people, and experience different cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that this Church is the greatest source of happiness to be found on the earth. It is the greatest source of peace in a world filled with turmoil. It is through this Church that I came to know Jesus Christ is my Savior and my Friend. When I lived in Jerusalem I had the opportunity to literally walk in the footsteps of my Savior. The experiences that I've had there have testified to me that this Gospel is true, the God lives, that Jesus Christ is His Son and my Redeemer. I did not have to be in Jerusalem to learn about the reality of my Savior, the things that I learned can be learned anywhere through scripture study and prayer. While I deeply admire other religions and there are elements of some I would love to incorporate into my own faith, I know that this Church contains the fulness of Christ's Gospel. I know that the truth in its entirety cannot be found anywhere else.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a good example of Christ for others. I seek to help those in need and comfort those that need a friend. As a missionary I also live my faith by preaching the Gospel to others.
