Hi I'm Bailey

I attended Weber State University. I recently received my mission call for the Oregon Eugene Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 20 years old, and I have spent most of my life living in Utah. I come from a mixed family where my parents are divorced but they are now happily remarried. I graduated from High School and made my way to Weber State University. I have just recently achieved my Associates degree from Weber in General Studies, I plan on returning to Weber State in future years to then pursue a degree in Nursing. I am getting ready to serve a mission to the Oregon Eugene Mission, and I am so excited to be able to share the message of Jesus Christ to the people of Eugene. In my free time I love to spend time with my family, they mean the world to me, along with talking with friends or reading a good book.

Why I am a Mormon

Being Mormon brings me joy. Knowing that my family will be together forever is one of the happiest things that can come from the gospel. And in reality that is out Heavenly Fathers plan for everyone of us. He wants us to find joy and he knows that as we strive to live the gospel and his teachings that we will be able to find our joy. There was a time in my life where I didn't know if this church was true, I was confused on where I was going and I didn't know where to turn. And a friend of mine shared the scripture found in D&C 68:6, "Wherefore, be of good cheer, and do not fear, for I the Lord am with you, and will stand by you; and ye shall bear record of me, even Jesus Christ, that I am the Son of the living God, that I was, that I am, and that I am to come." This scripture was able to give me hope, and was able to show me that I wasn't happy during that hard time, and they I needed to lean on my Savior in order to find that happiness. I am so grateful for this gospel and that it was brought forth to us and for us in this day in time. I am a Mormon because I desire to be happy. I want to be with my family forever and to be able to return to my Heavenly Father one day, and I strive everyday, although I am not perfect, to return to him.

How I live my faith

Right now in my life I am preparing to serve a mission, which is taking a lot of faith on my part. I am willingly leaving my family and friends to serve my Heavenly Father for the next 18 months. In the past I have had the calling in my Ward of being a Ward Missionary, in this calling I was able to help the missionaries find people who were searching for the gospel. This calling took a lot of prayer and a lot of faith on both my part and the investigators searching for answers. I am excited to be able to use my faith as a missionary in Oregon to be able to help others find the joy that they may be missing.
