Hi I'm Jonnae

I love to run, sing, and dance, I love God, I'm a big sister, I am a student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently, I attend BYU-Idaho and will be leaving in August of 2017 to the Tennessee Nashville Mission!!! I love school, running, and building relationships with others. I am 19 and have six siblings plus four parents. I love my family so much. Singing, acting, and dancing are all hobbies of mine. I have high hopes for my future life and family. This gospel means the world to me! It has brought closer to God and has made me who I am today.

Why I am a Mormon

There is nothing better than this gospel and everything that comes with it. It has brought me an eternal, happy family, friends who care about me, a God who watches over and guides me, a healthy body, good moral standards, high expectations to achieve me goals, and a Purpose in this life! My testimony: I know that God lives and that Jesus Christ his only begotten son is our Savior. I know that this Earth was made for me so I can be tested, share the gospel, strive to be more like Jesus, and return back to Heavenly Father. I KNOW that God is aware of me and my family. I have a testimony of music and it's strong power for good and evil. I'm so very grateful for my family. I wouldn't ever change my parents divorce because of how happy they are now. I'm thankful for eternal families and looking forward to getting sealed in the temple with my righteous eternal companion, then having a family together. I believe in a happy family, surrounded by the gospel, and filled with love, comfort, and care. I know Joseph Smith is real and truly saw God and Jesus. I look up to him and how determined he was to know the true faith and then how he stayed firm to the gospel even until death. He died for what God and what he knew to be true. I also know this is the correct church and love it's principles. They helped me shape who I am today and who I will become. I'm grateful to the pioneers and their many sacrifices. As Saints, they left their homes and belongings for a better life, where they could freely live the gospel and serve God. Pioneer women endured through the journey without their husbands so they could reach Zion with their families. The men sacrificed their food rations so their wives and children could survive the harsh weather and lack of food. They had hope for a better life and, with God's help, made it to freedom! I don't know where I would be without this fabulous gospel. Thank you God for such a fantastic life! AMEN!

How I live my faith

Every day I strive to live the way God wants me to. He has planned for me to be an example to all I cross paths with and leave them better than I found them. I always try to find opportunities to share this wonderful gospel to my friends. I live my faith by smiling. Showing the people in my community that both God and I care for them is important to me. I aim to do the little things like reading my scriptures, saying my prayers, serving others, and working on improving myself. That is how I Live My Faith.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Jonnae
Family is important because whatever your family is like, you will become and shadow. Families are an escape to the evils of the world. Families that are centered around Christ can change this world! So many are wrecked with divorce, cheating, hatred, abuse, drugs, etc to the point that families aren't sacred anymore. Mormons care so much for family units because without good ones, children's futures are not as promising. In the home is where you learn to cope with the outside world; life. Family is sacred and ordained from God, so we like to keep it that way. Show more Show less
