Hi I'm Scott R

I'm an outdoors enthusiast, including hunting, hiking, skiing, and biking. I'm a doctor, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a single adult in a professional world. I graduated from college at USU with my Bachelor's degree, then went on to get an MBA while in medical school. I graduated as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine with my MBA in 2010. I'm now working to become a board-certified doctor of Internal Medicine with plans to sub-specialize in Gastroenterology. I enjoy being outdoors. I grew up backpacking, hiking, fishing, hunting, skiing, and snowmobiling. I'm an Eagle Scout.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I choose to be. The doctrines and teachings make sense to me, both on an intellectual and spiritual level. I served a two-year mission to Sonora Mexico when I was 19 years old, and through my personal studies and the promptings of the Holy Spirit, I know this is the true church of Jesus Christ that he organized 2000 years ago, and that he re-organized in 1836 through the modern prophet Joseph Smith.

How I live my faith

My calling in which I serve in the church is teaching a lesson to the other men every 3rd Sunday about doctrines of the church and Christ's gospel. Reading and studying the scriptures is also a big part of my life. I have many friends who are not of my faith who ask questions and discuss common beliefs.
