Hi I'm hopper

I started out my life in Missouri then moved to Virginia.I'm now retired and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was a postman for almost 34 years and now retired. I love to fish and be a part of nature.I love spending time with my children and grandchildren! I also enjoy be part of the Scouting program and hiking and swiming. I like to sing in the church choir and listen to almost any kind of good music. If there are parties and celebrations that include food I am there!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I was very blessed to meet a wonderful young woman and to be married to her. The first time I saw her she was so beautiful and I hoped right then she would be my wife and then after we talked, and we talked some times for hours and I came to find out not only was she beautiful she was very smart. We had so much fun spending time together laughing and talking and then one day she started to talk about a plan of salvation given to all of us from God. This woman whom I had fallen deeply in love with was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She knew so much about our Father in Heaven and his Son Jesus Christ I became very intrested in learning more. To make a long story short our journey together in the church was slow and bumpy but after many years of work and love we are now married for time and all eternity and I truely am thankful to my Father in heaven for letting me meet such a sweet and lovely lady. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true and that the Gospel has been restored to this earth in it's fulness. I know that my Father in Heaven loves me and I know that he and his Jesus Christ are real and living beings. I pray that all who read these things will have a desire to learn more of the Plan of Salvation given to each of us.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm part of our ward leardership and my job or calling is the second counselor in the Bishopric. There are a lot of responsibilties for the three leaders of the wards in the church and a lot of blessings from our Father in Heaven as we serve. I am always amazed in the youth of our ward. They too are always willing to serve where ever needed and I know that they love the Lord. I am very greatful fo the leaders of all the programs in our ward such as the youth, the primary children, the women and the men. They work so hard to help teach the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all they are responsible for.I too love to serve where ever I can in the Church and in our town. I love to meet with our ward each Sunday and to be with those who want to learn more about the Plan of Salvation of our Heavenly Father.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

I try to follow the example of the Savior to serve and to look to my Father in Heaven for blessings which are far more valuable than what man can give. Show more Show less
