Hi I'm Christy

I grew up in a small town in Colorado. I am the first person in my family to graduate college. I am a mormon.

About Me

I am a 26 years old. I am a convert to the church. It was not easy at first, I am the only member of the church in my immediate family. I have one sister. My faith is very important to me. I have found that no matter what comes my way my faith will help me through. I am currently trying to go back to school to get a degree in psychology. I love reading, cooking, camping, fishing, and laughing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because i know that this is the true church, and i know that we have a living prophet. I know Jesus died for us, that our sins may be forgiven. I was converted when I was 11 years old but I did not get baptized until i was 19. How I was converted is a very special story to me. I went with an aunt and uncle who are members, on a trip to go to a family reunion. On our way we stopped in Washington D.C. so they could do a session in the temple. I got to sit outside eating Italian Ice, and wondering what the most beautiful building i had ever seen was. I waited what seemed like a long time, by the time they came out I knew that I wanted to be able to go there some day. So at the age of 19 i was baptized.

How I live my faith

I have to be honest, I am far from perfect. I have difficulties getting to church, with all the crazy things going on in my life. I am however making a promise to myself that I am going to do better. I know how important the church is to my life. I know that when i am practicing my faith and doing what our heavenly father asks of us, my life is allot better. I miss all the blessings and I believe that living the faith is very important, because you will never be lost and you will never feel alone.
