Hi I'm John!

I grew up on the cold island of Idaho. I'm the first generation to be born in America. I'm an awesome Mormon!

About Me

My family came over from southern Vietnam to America just before I was born. First off, I grew up with my culture in America when I was little, then I became very Americanized as I got older. Funny how that works? I love America, it's a land of opportunities. If you know me, my friends called me Bruce Lee or John Wayne in high school and it still carries on with me to this day. Why? It's because I'm awesome! I'm a musician. The guitar is my forte. You probably couldn't tell but I'm a metalhead at heart. You'll see me at Metallica concerts. My fans usually tell me that I play the guitar very well, I wonder sometimes though! The most important thing to me above my wild guitar world is my family. My family means everything to me. Even though I have a small family, they are my world. I'm the oldest of three, I have a younger, who's-bigger-than-me brother and a baby-sister. They drive me crazy sometimes but gotta love them! Being the first to graduate from high school in my family, I want to help to change the world by making it better by becoming a nurse. Yup, that's right, I want to be a manly nurse!

Why I am a Mormon

Jesus Christ is my perfect example and role-model. In the scriptures it says that He is the way, the truth, and life. With that, I do my best to do what He would do. Since I'm not perfect, I do fall down a lot but he has always provided a way for me for my imperfections to be worked on. I love the gospel, even more, the restored gospel that has all the truths. It has brought peace into my life. The restored gospel that we have in this church is what I've been looking for when I was going through a very rough time during my teenage years. There's no doubt that the true church of Jesus Christ has been restored through one of His many servants, Joseph Smith. The Book of Mormon is the proof. It is the fruit of Joseph Smith. By reading both the Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon together, we will get closer to our Savior. Only the Holy Spirit will testify of its truthfulness and no worldly knowledge can disprove the Holy Ghost. I invite you to read the Book of Mormon, ponder it, and then ask our Heavenly Father if it's true, If you have a sincere desire and true intent, meaning that you will act upon the answer you will receive, I promise you that your life will be blessed with more joy and comfort! You got nothing to lose!

How I live my faith

I try to live by example, instead of just preaching the good word. You know when they say that actions speak louder than words? It's true. I look around for opportunities to serve. Since God is our Eternal Father, we are all brothers and sisters. We're one big family. If I can help someone that is in need of anything and I'm able to help, you can count on me! Remember, God looks at our hearts and desires so that sincere love we have for others will motivate us to do good!
