Hi I'm Brescia Anderson

I grew up in Wyoming and am attending college at BYUI. I just got married to Hyrum Anderson and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am going to school at BYU-I and am majoring in web design and development. I just got married on April 6, 2012, then we moved to Minnesota for my husbands intern with Land O' Lakes. We really like it here and after we finnish school we are planning to move back permanently. I have four brothers and two sisters, they are all younger than me, and the youngest boy was adopted into our family, he is so wonderful. As for my future I plan to be a great mom, and to develop many talents that I can use to help the people in the developing world. I love the churches welfare program and hope that I have the opportunity to go to a developing country someday and help and serve them. I want to serve a mission with my husband when we get older and are finished having kids. I am currently learning how to sew and to crochet and lots of other fun crafts.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know that this church is true and through it I can gain knowledge of Christ and it can bring me eternal life and true happiness. This church is all about helping you to become a stronger and better person. It helps you make goals and try and become closer to your fullest potential. Through this Church I am able to develop my talents, goals, to serve others, to have a family and friends where ever I am, and to be happy all the time. I love going to church, reading the Book of Mormon, helping others, and striving to become better and better. I am not perfect, nobody is, but Christ has made it so that our sins can be washed away and that through his sacrifice we can become perfect as he is. I believe each person on this earth has a very important job and duty that they are sent here to fulfill and if you are striving towards that then you will be blessed and happy. Nothing has ever made me more happy than this gospel, and for this reason I am sharing it with you, because I want you to be as happy as I am. I know that all the standards of our church may seem hard and restricting, but really they are such a blessing of freedom and strength to become the best you can be. I am so grateful for my Heavenly Father who is in heaven, he loves me and he loves you so much as well. He looks after each and every one of us and listens to our prayers and helps us out all the time. I have had so many tender mercies sent from Him and the church has made me recognize them more fully. I am grateful for temple marriage, and I know that through it I can be with my family forever, even after death. I am so grateful for the strength my testimony is to me, and that my knowledge and foundation of the gospel is able to grow and expand more and more the more I let it into my life. I love the gospel and know that it is true and it is the only way back to my Heavenly Father and Jesus. This is why I am a Mormon!!

How I live my faith

I was just called a few months ago to be an adviser in the Mia-maids young women class, every Sunday I have the opportunity to teach lessons and I absolutely love it. At first I was not very good at teaching, I still am learning but each lesson I teach I grow and learn so much and am getting better and better. I love working with the youth they are so wonderful and strong. I have the opportunity to serve a lot in my ward, like visiting the sick, bringing food and helping out at the so many different activities that out ward has such as funerals, missionary dinners, fundraiser activities, ward parties, etc. I am fairly new in this ward, but through my service towards the church I have been able to meet so many people and make so many friends.
