Hi I'm Daniel

I'm a martial artist. I like making music. I am a college student, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I come from a family of four. Mom, Dad, Me, and my sister. In summer of 2005, my parents signed my sister and I up for Karate, and my world was changed. I fell in love with Karate and have been practising since. Eventually, I earned my Black Belt and even became qualified to teach. I love teaching, because I see my students change their lives and become better people. I love taking the lessons I learn from Karate and paring them together with the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. There is so much truth and pearls of wisdom to be found throughout the world, and when I look at these truths through the lens of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, everything fits together perfectly. Another thing that I love is music. My mother teaches private lessons for vocalists, and is the music specialist for a local elementary school, so music has always been a part of my life. I sing, I played piano, I play trombone, and I play guitar. I love being able to cheer others up with my music.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I read the Book of Mormon and then I asked God in the name of Jesus Christ if it was true. I received my answer telling me that is was true. We believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ in it's entirety can be found in the Book of Mormon, so if we know that the Book of Mormon is true, then all other questions about our faith become unimportant.

How I live my faith

My faith is the center of my life. Everything I am is because of my faith. It has blessed my life in countless ways, and I like to share that. I have been called to be a Mormon missionary in Frankfurt Germany, and I am happy to spent the next 2 years of my life sharing with others what I believe and trying to help them become happier, and come unto Christ more fully in their lives.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon was written by prophets of God in America on gold plates. It was hidden in the earth by the Ancient Prophet Moroni. Moroni visited Joseph Smith as an angel and told Joseph where the gold plates were hidden. Then Joseph Smith, through the power of God, translated the gold plates into what we know as the Book of Mormon. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

We, like all other Christians, believe that the Bible is the word of God. The bible is full of powerful lessons we can learn. I love the stories of Moses' patience, Solomon's wisdom, David and Daniel's courage, Elijah's faith, Christ's ministry, the Acts of the Apostles, and so many others. Imagine that God wrote letter to us. This is the Bible. The Book of Mormon is another letter from God to us. We love and and study both of them. Show more Show less
