Hi I'm Savannah

I was born and raised in California, I love to paint with watercolor, ride bikes, and go camping and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student trying to figure out my future. But theres one thing for sure, I'm a Mormon and this is the reason I'm happy in my life full of uncertainty.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS faith, however, that didn't determine my dedication to the church. My parents have always been strong in the gospel, but that didn't mean they forced it on me or my siblings. If I didn't want to go to church, I didn't. One week when I did decide to go, I was in a Sunday School lesson about prayer when I was told that God knows me, he loves me, and wants to hear from me. However, I didn't know Him. There was a quote or something that was said that really hit me which was, "How can you expect to have a relationship with God if you don't kneel down and just talk to Him like you would a friend?" So I did just that. I went home and prayed, and I learned how to communicate with my Father in Heaven. It took more effort than just one time praying, but I learned a great lesson here. Heavenly Father knows me, He loves me, He wants me to be successful, and He wants me to return to Him. The change that happened in me is that NOW I believe this! I am a Mormon because I have a relationship with my Father in Heaven and I know too much now to back down and give it all up. This religion is important to me and I'm grateful my parents didn't force this on me, because now I can know and I do know for myself that God gives good gifts, and this is one of the good gifts I have received from Him, His gospel.

How I live my faith

The more I learn of Christ and get to know Him, the more I want to serve Him and His sheep. I have a desire to be like Christ, so I strive to do as he did during his ministry. I can't heal the sick or raise the dead, But I sure can love those who I meet. That is how I live my faith, I love those who need love. I clap for those who need an audience, and I do all that I can to lift others up. I know that "the worth of souls is great in the sight of God" (D&C 18:10) and sometimes people just need to be reminded of that.
